On September 27, 2022 six shooters jumped from an SUV and fired more than 60 bullets at young football players as they left an afternoon scrimmage outside Roxborough High School, killing Nick Elizalde and injuring four others.
The man who bought the ammunition that killed Nick was prohibited from buying ammo due to a prior felony. But there was no way to stop the sale because background checks aren’t required to buy bullets in Pennsylvania.
This is Meredith’s story of her son, Nick.
